What if your FAST Sunday worship kicked off 22 days of FEASTING!?
This Easter season, members of the Far West Stake have a unique and wonderful opportunity to deepen our discipleship and focus on our Savior, Jesus Christ. Beginning March 22, we invite everyone to join in 22 days of feasting on the words of Christ as we prepare our hearts for Easter and the sacred events surrounding it.
Our spiritual feast begins Sunday, March 22, which will serve as our Fast & Testimony Sunday for April. This special fast invites us to seek the Spirit and prepare ourselves for the sacred weeks ahead. Consider fasting for someone that you’d like to invite to attend Palm Sunday services with you.
Building on the blessings from our Fast, we move directly into Palm Sunday, which will also be our ward Easter services, where we will gather to remember the sacrifice and resurrection of our Savior in music and word.
Immediately following will be Holy Week, a sacred time to reflect on the final days of the Savior’s mortal ministry. We encourage you to DIG DEEP and plant the seeds necessary to grow your relationship with our Lord and Redeemer. You can follow daily messages and invitations on Easter.churchofjesuschrist.org
This week will culminate in a remarkable series of spiritual experiences:
- General Conference, April 4th and 5th, where modern-day prophets, apostles, and Church leaders will testify of Jesus Christ, His love for us and His restored gospel
- A Solemn Assembly, April 4th, immediately following the morning session, will offer an additional opportunity to feel the Holy Ghost testify and receive personal revelation.
- Easter Sunday, April 5th. As we celebrate the risen Lord, His life, His ministry, His unending LOVE! We invite you attend the morning session on Easter Sunday in your ward meetinghouse. We will begin broadcasting General Conference and the choir at 10am in each of the buildings in our stake.
Our spiritual journey will then continue into the next week as we prepare for and attend Stake Conference, April 10th-12th. We will be blessed with instruction and testimony from our stake leaders as they focus our hearts on the Savior and His holy house. This amazing weekend will include a Friday Night Youth Session, Saturday Evening Adult Session and Sunday morning General Session. Each of these will be held in the Kearney building.
Over these 22 days, we invite every member and family in the Far West Stake to spiritually prepare for these sacred gatherings by feasting on the words of Christ—through scripture study, prayer, fasting, and thoughtful reflection on His life and teachings. As we center our hearts on the Savior during this special season, we know the Spirit will draw us closer to Him and to one another.
We hope you will join us in making this Easter season a time of deep spiritual nourishment, renewed faith, and joyful celebration of Jesus Christ.
