Sister Beyeler is blessed by an Apostle in the MTC

Yesterday was one of the best days I’ve had here. It was Tuesday, which is one of my favorite days because we have a devotional and sing in the MTC Choir. I sat next to a new sister, and she was so kind. We were even wearing matching outfits, which made it even more fun.

When they announced who was speaking, we were all so excited. If you’d like to see a video, check out my Google Photos. Can you guess who it was? President Uchtdorf! Everyone was thrilled. I expected the conductor to quiet us down, but when I looked up, he was smiling from ear to ear, just as excited as we were.

The devotional was incredible. He spoke about faith, hope, and our work as missionaries. It felt very personal, and the Spirit was so strong. Afterward, he and his wife walked around to each section, waved to us, and even made a heart with their hands. It was such a special experience. As they left, many of us were in tears. It was truly unforgettable.

I can’t believe I had the opportunity to sing in the choir while President Uchtdorf was there. We sang “How Firm a Foundation,” and it was very powerful. I especially love the third verse, which says:
“Fear not, I am with thee; oh, be not dismayed,For I am thy God and will still give thee aid.I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,Upheld by my righteous, omnipotent hand.”

These are such powerful words. God is always there for us, no matter what. We do not need to fear. He will strengthen us, help us, and lift us up always.
