We encourage all members of the stake to make time for the temple this summer. With school out and schedules often a little more flexible, this is an especially wonderful opportunity for our youth to attend the temple regularly and strengthen their testimonies through sacred service.
Last summer the baptistry was opened on Thursday afternoons for patrons to do baptisms and confirmations. It was very well attended, and the Temple Workers loved serving the youth and adults.
Starting on Thursday, June 4th, the baptistry will remain open during the afternoon hours from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Those summer hours will run through August 13th.
We invite youth, families, leaders, and adults to prayerfully consider how they can make temple worship a greater part of their summer. Whether attending as individuals, families, quorums, classes, or youth groups, time spent in the temple brings peace, spiritual strength, and a closer connection to the Savior.
May we all seek opportunities to come more often to the House of the Lord this summer.
